Have you ever wondered about the air quality in your home? Or do you want to know why you fall asleep in an unventilated room after just 3 hours? Look no further! This module provides answers to these questions!
The air quality combo sensor measures air quality using the sensor modules CCS811 and BME280, providing readings for air pressure, humidity, temperature, TVOC, and eCO2. Communication is possible through the I2C protocol. The CCS811 is a highly popular sensor that provides measurements for CO2 (or eCO2) equivalent in parts per million (PPM) and total volatile organic compounds in parts per billion (PPB). The CCS811 also has a feature that allows it to refine measurements when it has access to current humidity and temperature. That's why we've added the BME280, which measures humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure, enabling the sensors to provide more accurate readings.
Because the CCS811 generates some heat, the circuit board is precisely designed to not affect the measurements of the BME280 sensor. |
