Earth Listener, air quality monitor, measures humidity, air pressure, and temperature, includes lightning detector, Arduino-based, TFT touchscreen, wooden housing
The Earth Listener is an Arduino-based sensor module that measures various environmental values to display air quality. This kit can be assembled in 15 minutes, and you don't need a soldering iron! Connect the parts and wires, place everything in the housing, and connect it to a 5V USB port. The Mega development board is preprogrammed and displays values for eCO², TVOC (air particles), air pressure, temperature, and humidity on the TFT touchscreen. Additionally, the Earth Listener also includes a lightning detector. If lightning (or electrical discharge) is detected, the Earth Listener emits an alarm tone and measures the distance it is located. Since everything is open source, you can add 6 additional sensors to the Earth Listener via the sensor shield. Logging is possible via a micro SD card (not included).
+ Easy assembly and operation: The Earth Listener is assembled in just 15 minutes and requires no soldering. This makes it an excellent option for both electronics beginners and experienced hobbyists. + Comprehensive environmental monitoring : The Earth Listener measures essential environmental values such as eCO², TVOC, air pressure, temperature, and humidity. Gathering this information is crucial for an in-depth understanding of air quality in a space, contributing to a healthier living or working environment. + Lightning detection: When the sensor detects lightning or electrical discharges (up to a distance of 40 km), an alert signal is activated. + Data recording and storage: All data can be stored on an SD card (not included). This can be particularly useful for monitoring changes in air quality over a specific period or evaluating the effectiveness of measures aimed at improving air quality. + Made in Belgium: Whadda is a unique brand of the Belgian Velleman Group that offers DIY projects for hobbyists or makers interested in diving into electronics, programming, and mechanics.
RGB SMD LED module with 5050 chip for Arduino projects (5410329729905)
For stable eCO² and TVOC measurements, the Earth Listener requires an initial run-in period of 48 hours and at least 20 minutes of recording.
This experimentation kit is designed exclusively for indicative purposes. The interpretation of collected data should take into account the specific conditions of the environment. Proper ventilation of your living space is essential.
